Born and raised in the most interesting place on Earth, Nebraska, I learned to make something from nothing. Being short on materials, knowhow, or the proper tool never stopped me from trying to create something I want (and start the occasional garage fire). From this mindset has evolved a person with an imaginative passion for problem solving and creating products & experiences that will help improve people’s concept of acceptable living.
In between gathering a few design degrees, I’ve been able to not only develop a T-shaped skillset but also a deep passion for uncovering and solving user problems that help improve their worlds. KU taught me countless invaluable lessons blanketing the entire design spectrum, from drawing to design thinking, turning me into a very well rounded and versatile professional.
I’m an outgoing person that is easy to talk to, loves to laugh, and lots of fun to work with.

my approach
A very condensed outline of how I approach a project.
This will absolutely 100% change every time… But it’s a good place to start.
That looks nice but...
Projects are never linear and never perfect. But there are a few things that I always keep in mind when working on a project.
Fail A Lot
The more you try, the more you’ll fail, and the more you’ll improve your designs. Workshops, one-off brainstorm sessions, quick prototypes, and constant evaluation will take you far.
Test It!
Got a new idea? See how well it works! While you may not always be able to reach outside users, there’s almost always someone near you to test a new piece of your idea on.
Work Together
Design is not a linear or solo effort. Stay connected with stakeholders throughout the entire project to ensure the user’s needs make the final cut.
